HPD respond to fatal single-vehicle crash on W. Fuqua St.

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died on Monday following a major single-vehicle crash in southwest Houston.

According to a report by HPD, the crash occurred at about 4:15 p.m. within the 6100 block of West Fuqua Street, near the Sam Houston Tollway.

Investigators say the female driver of a gray Ford Taurus was heading east when she lost control for unknown reasons and struck the curb. The vehicle then went onto the esplanade before hitting two trees.

The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
