At least two were sent to a hospital following a major crash on West Twohig Avenue last Wednesday afternoon.
According to initial reports, the collision took place at around 1:00 p.m. A 2017 Ford was heading west on in the 300 block of West Twohig Avenue when, for yet unknown reasons, a 2007 Pontiac G6 struck it. The force of impact was so great that three people had to be extricated by emergency crews. They were rushed to a hospital via ambulance for treatment of their injuries. Their condition remains unknown at this time.
Local authorities have yet to release what caused the collision. No charges have been made as investigators continue to gather information surrounding the car accident.
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all the families of the injured victims. We pray for their full recovery as we hope that the San Angelo Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
Vehicular accidents like this happen quite often nowadays. In fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents happen almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, a car accident occurs that results in death. This can be translated to roughly about 6 million car accidents every year and 90 people dying in car accidents every day in the U.S. alone.
Sometimes, a car accident can cause serious injuries to multiple parties—and filing a claim can get complicated. To make sure your claim is successful, you need to gather as much evidence and documents you can that could support your claim. It could be details pertaining to the accident you are involved in as well as the extent of injuries you sustained. These may include a video or photograph of the scene, police reports, and medical records, to name a few.
