Bedford — Car Accident on Highway 121

The Bedford Police Department is still looking into a crash on Highway 121 caused by a wrong-way driver last February 22.
According to reports, local officers were dispatched at around 3:00 a.m. off TX-121 and Cummings Drive after receiving a crash report. In their initial investigation, it determined that a pickup truck was heading north along the southbound lanes of the highway. The driver then veered off the roadway and slammed its car into a construction site nearby.
As a result, the driver of the vehicle, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identification has to be released by Bedford police.
Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.
Investigators arrived at the scene to gather more information about the crash and to determine what caused the vehicle to drift onto the opposing lanes.
