Man killed and child critically injured in collision with 18-wheeler in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – A man was killed and a child was critically injured in a collision with an 18-wheeler in Montgomery County yesterday evening, ABC 13 reports.
The 18-wheeler pulled over after the airline broke on his truck, stopping on Fish Creek south of FM 2854 around 9 p.m. The truck’s hazard lights were on while the driver worked on the vehicle.
A red Subaru then slammed into the back of the 18-wheeler, crushing the front half of the car. The driver, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.
A 5-year-old child in the back seat was rushed to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston with critical injuries.
