Pedestrian dies after being hit by car on Edgebrook Drive

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Edgebrook Drive last night, according to the Houston Police Department.

The pedestrian, for unknown reasons, stepped off of a median near 100 Edgebrook Drive and was hit by a passing silver Chevrolet Impala around 9:20 p.m. The victim, who was not identified, died at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 73-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No charges have been filed.
