Pedestrian killed after allegedly jumping in front of vehicle on East FM 1960

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was killed after allegedly jumping in front of a vehicle on East FM 1960 on the morning of Sunday, May 30, according to the Houston Police Department.
A woman was driving a white Chevrolet Cruz near 10600 East FM 1960 when a man suddenly jumped out in front of her vehicle. She hit the victim and he was declared dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. She was determined not to be intoxicated at the time of the accident and no charges have been filed. Police report that she sustained minor injuries to her arm.
Another witness told the police that the victim was previously walking in the middle of the roadway.
