Passenger killed after driver runs red light on Fannin Street

HOUSTON, TX – A passenger was killed after a driver ran a red light on Fannin Street on the evening of Tuesday, April 27, according to the Houston Police Department.
An unidentified individual was driving a Chevrolet Camaro near 6900 Fannin Street around 5:35 p.m. Around the same time, a Chevrolet Captiva ran a nearby red light, crashing into the Camaro.
A passenger in the Captiva, an 80-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital. She died of her injuries on Monday, May 3.
