Woman critically injured in head-on collision in east Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman was critically injured in a head-on collision in east Harris County on Sunday night, KENS 5 reports.

According to authorities, a Hummer and a Dodge Challenger crashed head-on at the intersection of FM 1942 and Garth Road. The driver of the Challenger was trapped in her vehicle and had to be pulled from her car by first responders. She was flown to the hospital in critical condition.

Both the driver and passenger in the Hummer are reported to be in stable condition. It is not known if alcohol or speeding was a factor in the crash.
