Abilene— Several People Including A Child Injured on Winters Freeway

At least six people sustained various injuries following a car accident on Winters Freeway last Monday morning.
According to police reports, a blue Dodge Durango was heading south on Winters Freeway when, for yet unknown reasons, it entered the opposing lanes after striking a pole. The Dodge then collided head-on with a white Ford Fiesta that was traveling along the northbound lanes.
Occupants from both vehicles, four from Durango and two in the Fiesta, sustained injuries from the force of impact. They were all transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police say that a 27-year-old man in the Fiesta is in serious condition. Among the injured victims is a 1-year-old boy who was restrained in a rear-facing car seat.
No charges have been made as police conduct an investigation.
