Former LSU basketball player injured in fatal Westpark Tollway crash

HOUSTON, TX – A former LSU basketball player was injured in the same car accident that killed R&B singer JaeRene last Wednesday, WBRZ reports.
Daryl Edwards, Jr. was seriously injured in a collision that took place at about 2 a.m. on April 7, when a gray Infiniti traveling the wrong way on the Westpark Tollway collided with a Honda near . Police believe that the driver of the Infiniti, 32-year-old Bobby James Brown, was drunk at the time of the crash.
Wile WBRZ doesn’t mention the detail in its piece, JaeRene and Edwards appear to have been among the Honda’s four occupants.
Edwards suffered broken legs, a broken arm, and fractured vertebrae as a result of the crash.
JaeRene, who sang the regional hit “H-Town for Real,” was remembered during a candlelight vigil last night.
