Police chase ends in crash in Humble early this morning

HUMBLE, TX – A police chase early this morning ended when the suspect lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree, KHOU reports.

The pursuit began when a police officer attempted to pull the suspect over for an unspecified traffic violation. The suspect instead sped off, attempting to enter Eastex Freeway near the Beltway. He lost control of the vehicle before he made it to the entrance ramp, rolling it over before colliding with a tree.

Police took the suspect into custody, and plan to charge him with felony evading arrest, as well as DUI, pending further investigation.

Thankfully, o one was injured.
