At least one person killed in pedestrian crash on I-10 near Jacinto City

JACINTO CITY, TX – At least one person was killed in a pedestrian accident on the I-10 Freeway this morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

The accident occurred east of Jacinto City on eastbound I-10 E, near Federal Road, at about 8 a.m.
At least one pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, causing fatal injuries.
Authorities did not immediately release the circumstances of the crash and the identity of the victim or victims.
Three lanes of the freeway were closed and drivers were told to expect traffic delays near the scene.
