UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in crash on the North Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was killed in the fatal crash that took place on the North Freeway yesterday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
Authorities say 44-year-old Richard Lynch was attempting to cross 8500 North Freeway when he was hit by an oncoming Buick Verano sedan. The driver of the sedan, who was not been identified, cooperated with authorities and was determined to not be intoxicated at the time of the crash.
An investigation into the wreck remains open.
