HUMBLE, TX – A driver died after slamming into a tree in the fatal accident that took place on Sunday morning, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The driver swerved off the road and collided with a tree near 400 El Dorado around 3:50 a.m. The car burst into flames immediately after the accident. Authorities believe that the victim is a male, but the extent of the burns made the body hard to identify.
Police have collected the car’s license plate numbers and are working to contact the family.
It is possible that speeding led to the crash.
