Woman dies from injuries sustained in hit-and-run crash on the West Sam Houston Parkway

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run crash on the West Sam Houston Parkway on Monday, March 22, the Houston Police Department reports.
The victim, a 33-year-old woman, was crossing the road near 10000 West Sam Houston Parkway South when she was struck by an oncoming dark-colored Chevrolet SUV. The driver of the car did not stop and render aid to the victim, who was reportedly not using a crosswalk at the time of the incident.
The woman was rushed to the hospital where she died of her injuries on March 26.
