Three children, mother die in tragic crash on FM 2920

HOUSTON, TX – Three children and their mother died in a tragic crash on FM 2920 on Sunday night, NBC DFW reports.

Seven cars reportedly collided on FM 2920 around 8:45 p.m., causing one vehicle to catch on fire with a woman and three children inside. Two children, a 7-year-old and a 2-year-old, were rescued from the car. However, emergency responders were unable to rescue the mother and a 5-year-old.

The young children were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries.

Another driver, an unidentified male, was taken to the hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.

The collision remains under investigation.
