Man arrested for murder in late February crash on Aldine Mail Route

HOUSTON, TX – A man was arrested for a murder for his role in a fatal crash that took place on Aldine Mail Route Road late last month, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.
On 2/25/21, Jesus Barron (30) is suspected of striking Richard Clark (64) with a car in a parking lot of a gas station at 575 Aldine Mail Rt. Clark was trapped under the car & dragged for over a quarter of a mile. Clark was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased pic.twitter.com/7SbIzjWkwk

Authorities say 30-year-old Jesus Barron struck 64-year-old Richard Clark in the parking lot of a gas station located at 575 Aldine Mail Route Road. Clark became trapped underneath the vehicle and was dragged for over a quarter of a mile. He was rushed to the hospital and declared dead.
The incident occurred on February 25. On March 11, Barron’s charge was upgraded to Aggravated Assault to Murder.
