Man and child killed, 2 injured in major crash on North Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A man and a child were killed, and two other people were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision on the North Freeway last night, according to KPRC2.
The accident happened in the 14700 block of the North Freeway, near Airtex Drive, at about 7:25 p.m., when multiple vehicles collided.
A man in his 20s and a child between 8 and 10 years old died as a result of the crash.
At least one person was briefly pinned within the wreckage of the accident. Along with another victim, they were taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed wounds.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
Authorities closed the North Freeway service road and the westbound lanes of Airtex Dr as they worked the accident, which remains under investigation at this time.
