Woman dies from injuries sustained in wreck on Barker Cypress Road

HOUSTON, TX – A woman tragically died from injuries sustained in a wreck on Barker Cypress Road that took place on Monday, February 1, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Betty Morris was driving a blue Honda CRV when she failed to control the speed of her vehicle and rear-ended the back of a Nissan Pathfinder near 11500 Barker Cypress Road. The initial collision sparked a chain-reaction crash between several other vehicles.

Morris and another driver, Sherie Lampley, were transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. Morris died of her injuries on February 16.
