One person hospitalized after suspected drunk driver crashes into patrol cars

HUMBLE, TX – One person was injured when a driver suspected of driving under the influence collided with two Sheriff’s deputies’ vehicles in Humble early this morning, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
While assisting a stranded motorist at 12916 N Eastex Fwy, two unoccupied patrol cars with activated emergency lights, were struck by a suspected intoxicated driver. No deputies injured, one person has been transported to the hospital. #HouNews pic.twitter.com/ebfKud0LSu

The crash occurred at 12916 N Eastex Freeway at about 6:10 a.m., when two vacant patrol vehicles were struck by a driver.
The emergency lights were reportedly on at the time of the crash.
One person, whose identity was not immediately released, Â was taken to the hospital with undisclosed wounds.
No Sheriff’s deputies were hurt in the crash.
