Bicyclist killed by hit-and-run driver in NW Houston

HOUSTON TX – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in northwest Houston late Saturday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
An adult male on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle at 8235 SH6 at Forest Trails. The man died from his injuries. The vehicle fled the scene. The accident occurred at 8235 Highway 6, near Forest Trails Drive, before 11 p.m., when a man riding a bicycle was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.
The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, died at the scene.
Authorities are asking those with any information on the collision to contact the HCSO Vehicular Crimes Division.
