At least one killed in wrong-way collision on the Sam Houston Tollway

HOUSTON, TX – At least one person was killed in a wrong-way collision on the Sam Houston Tollway this morning, KHOU 11 reports.

The crash was reported near the North Sam Houston Tollway’s intersection with T.C. Jester Boulevard around 12:15 a.m. Authorities say the incident was caused by a wrong-way driver.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found both drivers unresponsive with serious injuries. One of the drivers was declared dead at the scene — they have not yet been identified.

An investigation into the collision remains underway.
