El Paso– Multi-Vehicle Accident on US 54

Several people sustained various injuries after getting involved in a car accident on US 54, according to El Paso Fire Department officials.
Based on initial reports, the major wreck took place at US 54 near McCombs. How the crash took place is yet to be determined but it was confirmed that two vehicles somehow collided on said location. At least six people were reportedly injured following the impact of the collision. Three of the victims sustained serious injuries while the remaining suffered from minor injuries. Whether they were treated at the scene or rushed to a hospital for treatment remains unknown.
Emergency crews were also requested at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site.
The crash remains under investigation.

If you are the only one involved in the accident, the first thing you need to do is assess yourself. Check for possible bleeding and examine the extent of your injuries. If you are badly hurt, do not try to move and wait for help (or call 911). If you can, stay at the sidewalk and keep your hazard lights on to signal oncoming vehicles.
