UPDATE: Fatal collision on the South Loop may have been caused by drunk driver

HOUSTON, TX – The fatal collision that took place on the South Loop on Wednesday night may have been caused by a drunk driver, KHOU 11 reports.
Two cars reportedly collided at the intersection of the South Loop and Main Street at about 7:30 p.m. After the initial accident, one of the cars hit a nearby pedestrian, who later died at a nearby hospital.
The driver responsible for the crash showed signs of intoxication and is likely facing a DWI charge. Additional charges are pending an investigation.
