Houston–Driver Dies When Vehicle Lost Control on Rockhill Street

Authorities are still investigating a car accident on Rockhill Street near Hobby Airport in southeast Houston, police said.
According to initial reports, local officers responded to the 7900 block of Rockhill Street after receiving a call reporting a crash at around 1:30 a.m. A vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed when its driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a pickup truck. The vehicle then veered off the roadway, rolled over, and crashed into a house in the process.
The impact of the collision killed the driver of the vehicle instantly. His identification has not been disclosed by police. A woman who was inside the house during the time of the crash was not hurt. No other injuries were reported.
As of this writing, the Houston Police Department is still determining whether the driver was intoxicated or had a medical issue.
