77-year-old woman killed in single-vehicle crash on Will Clayton Pkwy.

HOUSTON, TX – An elderly woman suffered fatal injuries resulting from a single-vehicle crash near the George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Thursday.

According to The Tribune, the accident took place at about 1:15 p.m. within the 5600 block of Will Clayton Parkway, just east of the airport.

Investigators say the 77-year-old female driver lost control of her white Ford Ranger and veered off the roadway. The pickup truck then slammed into a tree in the median.

The woman was rushed to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
