46-year-old motorcyclist killed in Sam Houston Pkwy. crash

HOUSTON, TX – A 46-year-old man died Tuesday night in a multi-vehicle crash on South Sam Houston Parkway, HPD reports.

The crash took place on the 9100 block of the freeway service road, near the intersection with Hall Road at about 5:20 a.m.

Investigators say the black Yamaha motorcycle was stopped on the service road with its lights off when it was hit by a white GMC pickup truck.

The man was rushed to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

It is unclear why the motorcyclist was stopped in the roadway at this time. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver involved.
