3 people, including 8-year-old, injured after alleged DUI accident on FM 1960

HOUSTON, TX – A man is facing charges of alleged intoxication assault after he collided head-on with another vehicle while an 8-year-old child was riding as his passenger.
According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, the accident happened in the 7700 block of FM 1960, as 28-year-old Sterling Davis was allegedly driving east in the westbound lanes of the roadway while traveling at a high rate of speed.
He crashed into another vehicle head-on, then into two HCCO patrol vehicles that were nearby for an unrelated incident.
The second driver, Davis, and an 8-year-old who was a passenger in Davis’s vehicle were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Davis reportedly was displaying signs of being under the influence and had crack cocaine, a firearm, and Xanax in his possession at the time of the accident.
He is facing two charges of possession with intent to deliver and two counts of intoxication assault.
Davis will be booked into the Harris County Jail after he is cleared from the hospital.
