HOUSTON, TX – Two people were killed in a crash after allegedly leaving the scene of another accident in the Jersey Village neighborhood on Friday night, according to KTRK.
The incident began at about 10:30 p.m., when a driver reportedly sideswiped a woman’s car, then failed to stop after the crash. The female driver attempted to follow the hit-and-run driver and get their attention, but they allegedly then fled the scene at a high rate of speed.
At some point, it is believed that the passenger and driver in the fleeing vehicle switched seats.
The hit-and-run vehicle then crashed in the 5500 block of Campbell Road, near W Tidwell Road, then overturned multiple times.
The driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was not hurt in the crash.
