2 dead, others injured in wrong-way crash on Westpark Tollway involving ambulance

HOUSTON, TX – Two people were killed and at least one other was injured in a wrong-way crash on the Westpark Tollway involving a private ambulance early this morning.

According to information from KHOU, the crash occurred at around 5 a.m. near Fondren Road, as a driver was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of traffic. There, a driver crashed into a private ambulance.

One person in the ambulance and another in the wrong-way vehicle were pronounced dead following the crash.

Authorities reported the presence of other injuries due to the accident.
