12-year-old boy in critical condition, 2 others injured in Cypress crash

CYPRESS, TX – Three people were hurt in a car accident in Cypress this morning, including a 12-year-old boy who sustained life-threatening injuries, according to KHOU.
The accident occurred on US-290 near Mason Road before 11 a.m.
A 12-year-old boy was trapped within the wreckage and had to be extricated by emergency crews. He was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening wounds.
The two other victims were brought to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.
The identities of the victims and the exact circumstances of the collision were not made immediately available.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
