12-year-old and 2 others hospitalized after crash involving HCCO deputy

HOUSTON, TX – A 12-year-old child and two other people were hospitalized on Friday night following a multi-vehicle collision in northwest Houston involving a Harris County Constable’s Office deputy.
According to KTRK, the accident happened in the 13000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, near Bammel North Houston Road, at around 9 p.m.
As a constable’s deputy was responding to a call of an officer requiring assistance, another vehicle pulled in front of the police cruiser, which had lights and sirens activated.
The deputy’s cruiser crashed into the car, and the eventual impact included another three vehicles.
A 12-year-old inside the first car was ejected during the crash. The child and two others in the car were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
The deputy was treated at the scene.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
