HOUSTON, TX – Eleven people, including four children, were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle chain-reaction crash that happened on the Katy Freeway yesterday morning, according to KTRK.
The collision occurred on the Katy Fwy (I-10) near Barker Cypress Road at around 7 a.m., after a grey Honda experienced a mechanical issue, then stalled in the roadway. This led to a chain reaction crash, causing six vehicles to collide. At least one vehicle overturned during the wreck.
Eleven people were sent to the hospital after the collision, though luckily none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening. At least four of those victims were minors.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
