1 teen dead, 1 injured after allegedly drunk teen driver does donuts in Willis

WILLIS, TX (MONTGOMERY COUNTY) – A 16-year-old boy died after a 17-year-old girl reportedly was doing donuts while under the influence and crashed at a convenience store in northern Montgomery County this morning, according to KTRK.
The collision happened at around 4:49 a.m. in Willis at 409 W Montgomery Street (FM 1097) near S Woodson Street at a parking lot near K & M Foodmart.
A 17-year-old girl driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla was reportedly doing donuts in the parking lot when she collided with a guy wire connected to a pole. The impact caused the Corolla to overturn onto its side.
A 16-year-old male passenger was partially ejected during the collision and died at the scene.
Another passenger, the victim’s 17-year-old sister, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The driver was not injured in the crash.
After authorities discovered the presence of open alcohol containers in the vehicle, they performed a blood draw on the driver.
She was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and is facing a charge of intoxication manslaughter in connection with the collision.
