1 dead in multi-vehicle collision near 288

HOUSTON, TX – One person is dead after a multi-vehicle collision in Southwest Houston on Monday according to KTRK. Police reported the accident took place at approximately 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of Almeda Road and Reed Road, close to Highway 288.
At least five vehicles were damaged in the accident. Aerial footage showed that one vehicle seemed to have crashed into a sign advertising a nearby business.
HPD did not report any immediate arrests, though they noted that at least one driver showed signs of being intoxicated.
