1 dead, 2 injured after cars collide on Hillcroft Ave in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed and two others were hospitalized after two vehicles collided at an intersection in southwest Houston this evening, according to KTRK.

The crash occurred in the 6400 block of Hillcroft Avenue near Sands Point Drive and Westward Street, at around 7:30 p.m., when a Ford Explorer collided with a Toyota Camry.

A 50-year-old female passenger in the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time and are hoping to use surveillance footage from nearby businesses as evidence.
