The Victoria Police Department has identified the victim who died in a fatal auto crash on US 59, a local news source reported.

The fatality was named as 19-year-old Za’Kerania “KeeKee” Collins-Lee.

Last November 8, Collins-Lee was an occupant in an undescribed vehicle that was traveling along Highway 59 when it suddenly encountered a mechanical problem. When she and her friend stepped outside the car to check, they were then struck by another car, leaving them with significant injuries.

Collins-Lee was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries. However, she succumbed to her injuries a few days later. Her friend, only identified as a 17-year-old occupant, was pronounced deceased by medical crews who arrived at the scene.

No one else was injured.

Police did not confirm whether the driver who struck both victims remained at the scene or not.
