Sweetwater – Victims in SH 153 Identified

Law enforcement officials have released the names of the victims who died in a car accident on State Highway 153, according to a local news source.

The fatalities were identified as Joan Palacios, Juan Palacios, and Bryan Isaac Pesina.

Initial investigation shows that Bryan Pesina was driving an undescribed vehicle when he attempted to pass a semi-truck and ended up in the path of another car that was driven by Katerina Pesina. The impact of the crash left Bryan and his two passengers with fatal injuries. They were all pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities later identified the passengers as Juan Palacios and Joan Palacios.

Meanwhile, Katerina sustained significant injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately disclosed.

The Sweetwater Police Department is investigating the accident.
