Sweetwater – Three Killed in Fatal Crash on SH 153

At least three people died and another one sustained injuries after a deadly car crash on State Highway 153, Sunday.

Initial investigation shows that a vehicle had been traveling along SH 153 when it tried to pass a semi-truck but ended up crashing into another car. Police said the first car was passing in a no-pass zone.

The driver of the vehicle, who was identified as 20-year-old Bryan Pesina, died at the scene. His two passengers, identified as 43-year-old Joan Palacios and 68-year-old Juan Palacios, were also fatally injured. They were pronounced deceased by local authorities. Meanwhile, the driver of the second car sustained fatal injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital with unknown condition. The extent of his injuries, as well as his identification, was not immediately disclosed.

No other injuries were reported.
