According to the initial investigation, a Kia Sorento was heading on the opposite side of the road when it collided with an 18-wheeler truck that was traveling along the eastbound lanes. The impact of the crash instantly killed the driver of the Sorento. He was later identified as 83-year-old Robert Hughes of Kingman, Arizona.
