Polk County – Man Killed in US 190 Crash Identified

Texas Department of Public Safety has named the victim who died in a vehicle crash on US 190 in Polk County.
The fatality was identified as 35-year-old Jonathan Reid.
According to reports, the incident took place on US 190 at around 8:40 a.m. last November 11th. Reid was standing near a pickup truck that has been disabled when it was struck by another vehicle. Based on the initial investigation, the second car, for yet unknown reasons, veered into the shoulder, hitting the disabled pickup truck in the process. The impact killed Reid at the scene.
Another pedestrian, who was identified as 65-year-old Carl Reid Jr, sustained injuries and was hospitalized. His condition was not immediately disclosed. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 22-year-old Karl Fink. He was also transported to a hospital for treatment.
