Houston – Two-Vehicle Accident on East Loop Freeway Leaves 1 Killed

Houston law enforcement officials are investigating an auto crash on East Loop Freeway, Tuesday.

Based on the initial investigation, the crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. which involved a sedan and a truck. A red sedan was traveling along the highway when it crashed into a truck carrying a Gooseneck trailer. Police said the truck was stalled at the middle of the breakdown lane when the incident took place. The impact of the crash ejected the driver of the sedan, injuring him in the process. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, as per local paramedics. His identification was withheld pending notification of their next of kin.

No other injuries were reported.

Area investigators have yet to determine the factors that contributed to the accident.
