Houston – Police Officer Injured in Traffic Accident on Sam Houston Parkway

A Texas Southern University police officer sustained injuries after a motorcycle collision on Sam Houston Parkway last Saturday afternoon.
Just before 1:00 p.m., Houston police officers responded to 5331 South Sam Houston Parkway West after they received an alert about a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. According to the initial investigation, a TSU officer was operating a motorcycle when, for reasons the had not been determined yet, it crashed into a silver Mercedes traveling on the service road. How the crash happened remains unclear at this time but it police confirmed that the off-duty officer suffered from injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital in an ambulance. His identification has not been released.
The Houston Police Department is still gathering information about the case. An investigation is still underway.
