El Paso – 1 Hospitalized in Three-Car Crash on Alameda Avenue

One person sustained injuries as a result of a major accident on Alameda Avenue, early Friday evening.
At around 6:00 p.m., a three-car crash was reported at the intersection of Alameda Ave and South Estrella Street. How the crash happened remains unclear at this time but it was confirmed that a police vehicle, a city bus, and a passenger car somehow collided with each other. When emergency crews arrived at the said cross streets, they found one occupant trapped inside one of the wrecked vehicles. After extrication, he was rushed to the nearest hospital where he received further medical care. The extent of his injuries was not disclosed nor his identification.
No one else was injured.
The El Paso Police also arrived at the scene to determine the cause of the accident.
An investigation is underway.
