Bryan – HS Football Players Injured in Head-on Crash on Grassbur Road

Bryan law enforcement officials have released the name of the victims who were sent to a hospital after a major vehicle accident on Grassbur Road in Brazos County, Sunday evening.
The victims were identified as Brant Roberts, 16, and Gage Schwartz, 16. Both victims were Rudder High School football players.
According to the reports, 16-year-old Schwartz was driving Ford Mustang along the northbound lane of Grassbur when, for reasons that had not been determined, he crashed into a Toyota Tundra as it approaches a curve. Both vehicles burst in flames upon impact.
Schwartz and his passenger, Roberts, were taken to CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan where they were listed in unknown condition. The Toyota driver was also taken to the same hospital with unknown injuries.
The circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately determined. An investigation is underway.
