Arlington law enforcement officials said last week that the pedestrian who got struck by a vehicle on Spruce Point Drive has succumbed to his injuries.
According to the report, the auto versus pedestrian collision took place at the 2000 block of Spruce Point Drive last September 10. Police received a call reporting an unconscious person lying in a parking lot at around 11:00 p.m. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found a person with injuries similar to the one struck by a car. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he was declared deceased in the morning of September 12, Wednesday.
The pedestrian was identified as Jose Alonso Contreras, 19, as per Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website.
Local investigators believe that Contreras may have been hit by a vehicle during a possible drug transaction. No further details are available as the investigation is still in progress.
